The Summer Of My Discontent
I know. It should be the winter of my discontent. Expectations, or it should be unreasonable expectations. I expect "good" film in the summer. I expect film that will make me think. Film that will make me happy, sad, angry, mad. I haven't got that. I've gotten film that sucks unless it was made before 1980 or it was made from another country other than the U. S. I know, I'm asking a lot. I realize that American film is about "making" money. I get this way each summer because I'm looking forward to my holiday. The Vancouver International Film Festival. Now that I've ranted, I feel better. Not about American film, but about that fact that I still have hope. At least I think I do.

I think you should see the Milagro Beanfield War. It is an American film made in the late 80's.
Gary, you are a genius. Every time you recomend a film it is a winner. As I have often said you should be the UT film critic not those other BOZO"S!
